Design Elements
THE TASK
For our first project, we are required to understand the primary elements of form. Part 1 of the project is where we apply points and form lines to create patterns on six different images of an interior space. Part 2 of the project requires us to transform the 2-dimensional pattern into a 3-dimensional model using planes to create voids and volumes. Before working on the final model, at least 2 mock-up model is needed for form exploration.
MY PROGRESS
week 1 :
For the first week of this assignment, we had our first project brief and tutorial.
During this week, I gathered images of interior space for the first part of the project.
FINAL OUTCOME
REFLECTION
Through this assignment, I was able to understand elements that makes up space that is points, lines, planes and also volume. Not only that, this assignment also made me try new things. For example, I have never tried model making before. In addition, I also learned more about sketching and also on creative exploration to help generate ideas. To conclude, I had so much fun with this assignment as there is no direct way to do it and it all depends on my creativity during exploration of different design element.
