INTRODUCTION

Introduction To Spatial Design (ITSD) is a module aimed to introduce and familiarize students to the basic concepts of space, form and structures that surrounds us. This module is presented to us through lectures and class discussions through tutorial and practical classes. Furthermore, this module allows students to be creative and generate ideas on their own according to the set of projects that are assigned to the students.  Students are also exposed to basic design principles and the design process by applying all these new knowledge and skills by manipulating them into designing their final models.  Lastly, this module is important as an introduction for students who will be pursuing in the construction industry.

CONCLUSION

To conclude, my journey from this module has introduced a lot of new things to me such as the design process and design principles while producing my projects. This module also allowed me to acquire different aspects of the Taylor’s Graduate Capabilities (TGC). First of all, I have acquired the intrapersonal skill. Managing my time and being discipline in doing my work has become a huge lesson that I have gained from this semester. I have tried to be better at avoiding doing my work at the eleventh hour during this semester and I have gained a lot of benefits while doing so. Other than that, I also gained the digital literacy skill through this module as I tried new digital software to generate my mock-up model and sketches for my project. Lastly, I also acquired the thinking and problem-solving skills. When facing a challenge, I would search for solutions on the internet or ask advice and feedback from my lecturer who I am so thankful for.
