Introduction To Technical Drawing
THE TASK
For our first assignment, we are required to select an item and produce orthogonal drawings set of 1:1 scale of the item. For this assignment, I decided to choose a glue gun as my item because of its detail. After selecting our item, we are needed to produce a plan (top view), three elevations (left, right and back elevations), and one sectional drawing.
MY PROGRESS
week 1 :
For the first week, we had our project briefing and also a Zoom meeting with Miss Iffa and Sir Akmal. In the meeting, we had to show our selected items to get their approval of our items before we can draw it.
After getting the approval to draw the glue gun, I took pictures of it from different elevations.
FINAL OUTCOME
REFLECTION
During this assignment, I felt scared at first because I do not know much about technical drawings. However, after making a few mistakes here and there and with the guidance from Sir Akmal, I was able to produce a set of drawings of my selected item that I am proud of at the end after several tries and improvements based on the feedback given during tutorial class. This assignment taught me to have patience and to not give up even during this difficult time during the pandemic. Not only that, I also did a lot of research and learned a lot of new things about the convention of technical drawing from this first assignment.
